Where Rennes ended up for 2026-27

Stade Rennais finished sixth in Ligue 1 with 59 points, edging into the Conference League places and giving the club a European campaign to build around. The season's defining moment on the bench came mid-year: after Habib Beye's departure, Franck Haise took over — and on 7 August 2026 the club confirmed that Haise and his staff had signed a new contract through 2028, a clear vote of confidence before his first full season in Brittany. The defining moment in the accounts came even earlier: in January 2026, Rennes sold young centre-back Jérémy Jacquet to Liverpool, one of the biggest sales in the club's history.
